It is the mission of Cincinnati Therapeutic Riding and Horsemanship (formerly Cincinnati Riding for the Handicapped) to provide an opportunity for children and adults of all ages and disabilities to participate in a therapeutic horseback riding program.  It is however, our policy to refuse individuals for which riding is a contradiction due to their condition; a rider weighs more than 175 lbs.; or upon screening our physical therapist determines therapeutic riding is not in the best interest of the individual although they may be a candidate to receive Hippotherapy services (minimum age is 2); or any riders unable to sit independently.  The minimum age for our Therapeutic Riding service is age 4.  All individuals applying for enrollment must be willing to wear a riding helmet. 
All participants will be accepted if:

bulletAll required forms are completed annually
      a. Registration and Release
      b. Authorization for Emergency Medical     Treatment
      c. Medical History
bulletA pre-enrollment visit for new applicants is completed and an assessment by the instructor and/or therapist has determined the appropriateness of riding as an activity
bulletAvailability in Class
bulletAvailability of volunteer assistance required to meet applicants needs
bulletAvailability of appropriate horse/pony and equipment needed for applicant
bulletReceipt of payment by applicant

CRH is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting equine activities
 for children and adults with disabilities from the Greater Cincinnati Area.
All contributions are tax deductible to the full extent allowable by law.

Privacy Statement - Cincinnati Therapeutic Riding and Horsemanship is
committed to your privacy and guards any information which you provide
as confidential.  Neither CRH nor our website provider collect personally
identifiable information.  We do not share, sell, or make public
any information.  Donors may be listed in newsletters or other materials
but are asked for approval prior to any publication of their name.
